By Friken
Are there better projectors out there for 2D content?Sure, for 4-10x the cost. Are there better projectors out there for 3D?Possibly, but nothing I know of under 5k+ and even those have more ghosting issues than the acer.So it all comes down to the Acer being an amazing value for the money.---Things I Love:1. Image quality is top notch for 720p2. Colors are excellent3. It is very bright even in eco mode (almost too bright for dark room)4. The high brightness helps 3d since glasses cut down some light.5. It is quiet in eco modeI wish it had:1. Faster colorwheel. I do see the DLP rainbow in every dark scene, and often even in brighter scenes.2. Bigger zoom lens. I can BARELY get it to fill my 106" screen at 12'3. Lens shift. I have a rear wall shelf mount @75" from the floor. I have to set the acer upside down on the shelf to make it fill the screen. Also, I hate using digital keystone because it lessens the image quality, especially small text, and without I can not get correct geometry. The top of my image overlaps a little on left and right sides and bottom lines up well.4. better remote control. It is very small and unresponsive. I have to hold arm up high and point right at proj to get it to work. Please note, the features on my wishlist would easily make this projector cost over twice as much. While those features would be much appreciated, you can't fault the acer at the price they are selling for.

By Kirk Palayan
Ok, when I purchased this 720p/1080i projector, I had fully researched the item to be sure it would output Blu ray 3D and video gaming in 3D on a large 120" screen. It was a worthwhile investment. This projector, coupled with the Nvidia emitter/glasses, computer with a blu ray player and the right graphics card (check Nvidia website) and the right software- Arcsoft's Totalmedia, I now have near cinema sized 3D experiences at home- it does sound like a lot, but in the long run I spent less then 1/2 then I would have had I purchased the Panasonic, Sony or Samsung 3d tvs that are 1/2 the size of my screen. There is absolutely no ghosting, and all of the 3D Blu rays I have watched are amazing, Monsters vs Aliens, Coraline, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Grand Canyon Adventure and Ice Age 3. I am hoping the 3D Blu ray releases will pick up and there will be many more choices available.. In the meantime, Nvidia has 400 PC games that can be played in 3D- Left for Dead 2 , Batman Arkham Asylum, etc (check ther site for more game titles). The immersive experience of 3D with this projector is unparalleled; at least until a 1080p 3D projector with a reasonable price comes out.

By romy
I own HD66 and H5360 DLP projectors - bought a little over 2 years ago for both. I have replaced the bulbs for the two projectors. These bulbs 3000-4000 hrs seem to last only for 2 years with average use. The price of the bulbs ranges from $120.00 to $140.00. Both have developed white dots again after a little over 2 years of average use. After researching on web, a lot of these DLP based projectors including samsung tv's have the same problem because of the DMD chip which is the engine chip by texas instruments. Acer does not provide support and cannot recommend a company that can replace it. I haven't contacted Optoma but I am afraid this might cost me an arm and a leg just to replace it. I don't mind replacing bulbs every two years for an average cost of $130.00 per projectdor but to have other problems crop up after two years of mild use is definitely outrageous. It seemed like I was robbed of my time and hard earned dollars. These companies who produce DLP based projectors ought to be ashamed of themselves for promoting and selling these products. There should be a class action suit against these companies for there are thousands of victims who don't even know what hit them - watch these problems after 2 years. So consumers, beware of products that advertised DLP based projectors and TVs - these will cause you a lot of head aches and drain your pocket and time. The DMD chip is suppose to be warrantied by Texas instrument for 5 years, so therefore manufacturers should be willing to replace this even if the projectors are out of warranty if the dmd has been the cause of the problems (horrible white dots!!).Acer H5360 developed the white dots problem (dmd chip) approximately 4 months ahead of Optoma. OPTOMA gave me a one time extended warranty to fix the dead pixels just today 2012-10-16. Optoma is decent enough to recognize the problem. Now it's ACER'S turn to have that common decency! Extend the warranty for H5360 ACER even just to fix the horrible white dots!
